Be Unmindful of the Pain

They say be unmindful of the fires within
They won’t burn a thing.

But you suffer equally worse, more or less,
Timidly you pretend to have doused them
Go on thinking how you’ve started feeling better
But the waters turn to steam and sting your insides
Still you must pretend you are just fine and feel as right as rain.

Be unmindful of the pain until you cannot go on watering your flames.
